My class did a fishbowl not long ago. A fishbowl is what my teacher calls sitting in a circle with a bigger circle around it. There are five seats in the middle. The students that sit in the middle will talk about a book the class is reading. They can talk about anything they like about the book or about something they do not understand. The students on the outside will listen to their conversation. They can switch with someone from the inner circle if they choose. The students on the inner circle can pick someone that has not particpated from the outer circle. It goes back and forth until we run out of time.
