In social studies, each seven grade class in my district has to do a project called project citizens. Project citizens is a project where a group of four to five kids have to find a problem and find a solution to it. We have to write an essay and have four boards, each with a different portion. The portions are introduction to the the problem, alternative policies, our policy, and action plan. Along with the board, we each have to do a multi-page essay to explain our topic. My group decided to work on unemployment. We had to find out why many people are unemployed, find agencies that deal with the problem, and come up with our own plan of action. We have completed up to the second board in our project and the third part of the essay.

![]() During my time magazine project for social studies, we had to get two political cartoons to compare and contrast the the political views from the revolutionary war to the future. We showed how people back in the day are being compared by what they look like on the outside. The political cartoon showed different animals with the task of climbing a tree. The monkey will obviously win against a fish. The political cartoon for the future shows a group of people protesting for movie seats. They do no care about the past where people fight for freedom by losing their lives. I got a job! Well I kind of got a job. In my social studies class, each group in our class had to get a topic and teach the class with it. I got the Great Awakening and Enlighenment and how it affected the American Revolution. My group made a power point with each slide that answers a question. Then, I made a kahoot, which is a way to make a online game. I made six questions one for each question and one extra for the sake of it. In then end, we got 100 on the project.
In social studies, I got a DBQ, document based questions, with the question"Would You Have Quit." It is asking me if I would quit in Valley Forge. Valley Forge is where Geroge Washington and his army stayed in the American Revolution. They had just retreated away from many battles and they lost their morale. Many people had quit because of this. They also were living in horrible condition. They were cold and their shoes wore off. I would have quit if I was there. At that time, no one knew who would win. Staying there at that time would seem like a death wish.
A few weeks ago, I got a group project in social studies. We had to make some exhibits for a make believe new museum that will be built. The groups can choose from a variety of projects. These include models, games, to a song. My group picked a song and an art collage. The collage was okay as the pictures were drawn by my friend that goes to A.T.C. The song was a weird when we sang it to the class. I thought that the song would come out differently but I guess things don't always go as planned.
In social studies, I got a project to do a hanger person. For those that do not know what a hanger person is, it is a person made from a hanger. You put the head on the hook and the clothes where it is suppose to go. I picked to do Samoset. He is a Native American that helped the pilgrims. He learned English from other people who came before the pilgrims. He also introduced them to Squanto, an even better English speaker. It was a fun project that I did.
